Actually, it was smoky but cooled down beautifully. There were neither cowboys, pirates, nor ninjas. (Our two resident bucks were present and utterly fearless.) Speed put on a final burst of speed with a two dollar derelict win; he passed Racer X for a first place finish at only five dollars up. Batman took home the loser's trophy again, this time for finishing only seven dollars down. Cigars, drinks, and Payday candy bars—nutritional requirements met.
