I'm pretty sure he was pushed. There was a pleasant fall chill in the air made enjoyable by a fire in the fire pit, a second fire in the grill, and a heater under the Steve Rowe Memorial. A game that finished with the big winner, that would be Speed, up only five dollars also featured dramatic comebacks from the two players fifteen on: the Dude and your evening's host. The Dude's turnaround was most impressive; he played with even more than his usual last round boldness and was richly rewarded with the cards that sent your host off the cliff. The tie at six dollars down was broken by a two dollar derelict pot won on the last card of the night. Plummeting to his third loser's trophy win in as many weeks, your host had to admit it was entertaining. Murder aside, it truly was a great night.
