Once again, Our Guest, the Martian, dramatically overplayed his hands. As predicted, his run of improbably good cards returned to the mean but left him expecting big wins. He seemed off all night, misreading results and bleeding chips, quiet but nonetheless a good sport. The guest chute deployed successfully for every other player but one, the hosting Cyclops, who ground back from ten on—but not quite to even. So, while the host finished two down, Our Guest's 26 dollar loss financed the single digit wins of every other player at the table. The Dude, about to begin a six week absence from the game, finished first this week at seven up. Mitch Barnes and Choo-choo, both of whom played remarkably well, tied for second place after Choo-choo doubled her three dollar victory with a derelict win. The evening deck was so pleasant that even Speed "The Straight Man" was singing and nodding along to the country music mix.
