Memorable? The Train maximized excellent cards and earned a first place finish at nine up. "In blackest night," our all-time champion Green Lantern manifested a near win after paying more than a dollar in late penalties. Our guests? Our regular-elect lost playing respectably but watched a still spectacularly erratic Martian win five. No one knew what Marvin was doing, including Marvin. In one facepalming moment, he had to be told not to google the rankings of poker hands while actively playing. His win contrasted starkly with Batman's fifteen-down trophy take; the Dark Knight's cards were pure, unearned punishment. In what may prove to be the hand of the year, a game of Consent culminated in a showdown between three players, all holding straight flushes: Choo-choo's royal; your Padre's queen high; and the Dude's king high. Memorable? Certainly. Nonconsensual? Undeniably.
