Our Guest was a one-time player from long ago, and everyone made him feel at home, partly by supporting him and partly by including him in the abuse. In an effort to bring the unprepared guest up to speed, the Padre provided plenty of explanatory help during the Regret variants, which was not always appreciated. Our guest, though, was, and his play overall was good enough to break even before a three dollar derelict pot lifted him into positive territory. Dr. Doom was the big winner at seven up. Despite his concern about fading focus toward the evening's end, he played well throughout and won. Most people were in single digits up or down, and our two most recent AIPC champions were the only players who finished in the red. Last year's champ Speed, our reigning Pirate King, invited Mr. T to stay for a week. Thanks go out to all those who made the night so enjoyable.
